I would like to say here congratulations to Michael Brandt for his big success with NOVA Open.
What a big hit for his first major event. I like all of his hard work and the level of detail he put into it. It sounds like everyone there had a fantastic time and I respect that a lot.
Peace !

That was very big of you BBF and I for one applaud you for that.
I think everyone knows that you have been one of the more vocal critics of some aspects of the Nova.
I am glad to see you kept an open mind and focused on the event in totality, instead of the small mistakes or problems.
Two Hairy Thumbs Up!
Actually I don't consider myself a critic and thought all along Mike was doing a great job with the promotion of the event and support (hotel, rules, FAQ, etc.). I am kind of sad to think people saw me in that light. I was looking forward to going but work kept me from being able to attend. As a TO myself there are definitely some new concepts from NOVA that I would like to incorporate into the next Bolter Beach. Having played in lots of big events I found the NOVA to be a great alternative for people who don't want to play in more mainstream events like Adepticon. Was it more competitive? That I don't really know but it sounds like everyone who attended liked the new format.
Thanks for the kudos Magilla.

Then I shall be the first to say I apologize for misreading your comments and you.
On another note, it kind of sucks that all of the tournaments that got the kudos are not on the West Coast.
It seems that tournaments out here have some work to do.
Thanks Magilla... I appreciate that a lot. You are a good guy for sure.
I agree with you as it does seem the east has had the better events so far (including Austin of course).

The SoCal Slaughter had a ton of praise. I think the west is doing fine considering there are more events in the East.
Then again you Yankees have your "mid-west" which happens to be located in the Eastern half of your country so I have no idea. :P
