Great idea, I think it's very cool (as are all the comic villain avatars, lol. No Magneto made me sad though!)
If you guys aren't using INAT or ETC FAQs I would be happy to help as someone very clearly impartial, though obviously I wouldn't be at the event.
I'd also like to point out that the issue of multiple locations, while solved, should be sorted by revolving if it becomes an annual thing, as the ETC is done. Every year there is a vote for the next location (well, it's now voted 2 years ahead, iirc, but still...) - you guys should implement something like that.
Also, while he might not approve/want to go, emailing Stelek about it is a surefire way to get some publicity for clubs you can't reach otherwise. Hell, if he said he might go, that could only help, right?
