Black Hole Sun
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens every day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see the red door, I must have it painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the settin' sun
My love will laugh with me before the mornin' comes
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I wanna see your face, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black

Ahh, the nineties.
I think you're confusing two different songs.
Hee... intentionally trying to be confusing... makes sense you would recognize the title... seeing they were out of the Pacific northwest...
: )
Haha I just downloaded a bunch of nineties songs that I listened to when I was a kid.
Remember Matchbox 20?
Paint it Black is by hte Rolling Stones. I listened to them a lot when I was in high school. Black Hole Sun is the song by Sound Garden and the album was considered by many to be a sell out. Oh well... I really enjoyed the music video on MTV back in the day... By then I was a working class Joe.
Sure I remember Matchbox 20. Their sound was copied by many other bands. I still love my 90s music. If only my idol Kurt Cobain had not been assassinated by his wife's simple posse. Rock & roll was in the midst of a huge comeback with groups like Bush and the Melvins. I got to see the Melvins in Missoula, Montana while cruising through the northwest on my old Harley. Those were definitely some great days for sure. So back at ya... Did you ever hear of the Dead Kennedys or the Buzz Cocks? I was also a huge fan of Guada Canal Diary & the Cocteau Twins. Lots of 8os music tossed in for good measure. That was back in my formerly happy days.
G
Haha I've never heard of them.
